NYSCRF approves $526m in commitments

The US public pension has backed four private equity funds.

New York State Common Retirement Fund has confirmed $526 million-worth of private equity commitments to four vehicles, published in pension’s July 2020 monthly investment disclosure report.

The commitments comprise of €300 million to EQT IX, $150 million Castlelake Aviation IV Stable Yield Opportunities, A$18 million ($13 million; €11 million) to Adamantem Capital Fund II and $10 million to Pitango Venture Capital Fund VIII.

The $216.30 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 9.40 percent.

As illustrated below, the pension fund’s recent commitments are to vehicles focused on the technology, industrials and manufacturing sectors within the North America, Europe and Middle East/Africa regions.
