NYSTRS approves over $1bn in commitments

The US public pension has backed buyout funds.

New York State Teachers’ Retirement System has approved commitments of $600 million to The Maple Fund, A$120 million to BGH Capital Fund I, $100 million each to Linden Capital Partners IV, Carlyle Asia Partners V and A&M Capital Partners II, £65 million each to Inflexion Buyout Fund V and Inflexion Partnership Capital Fund II, and $100 million to SK Capital Partners V and SK Capital Partners Overage Fund V.

The $115.5 billion US public pension has an 8 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 7.4 percent.
