PME approves €75m commitment

The Dutch public pension has backed a technology, Dutch-focused fund.

The Dutch public pension fund Pensioenfonds van de Metalektro (PME) has agreed to commit €75 million to Innovation Industries Fund II according to a press release from its website. Its investment in the fund is being matched by fellow Dutch pension fund Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek (PMT) in a joint investment effort. The fund is Dutch-focused with a venture capital strategy angled towards technology investments.

PME has an allocation to private equity which currently stands at 1.9 percent.
