RIST approves $70m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

Rhode Island State Treasury has agreed to commit $30 million each to Charlesbannk Equity Fund X and Tenex Capital Partners Fund III, and $10 million to Charlesbank Overage Fund X, the pension’s latest meeting minutes state.

The $8.68 billion US public pension has a 7.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 5.60 percent.

As illustrated below, the pension fund’s recent commitments are to vehicles focused on the renewables, technology, financial services and healthcare sectors within the Asia-Pacific and North America regions.
