School Employees’ Retirement System of Ohio approves $100m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two private equity funds.

School Employees’ Retirement System of Ohio has agreed to commit $50 million to Graham Partners V and $50 million to FS Equity Equity Partners VIII, according to the pension’s latest monthly report. Both funds are focused on buyouts in North America.

The $14.34 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity which currently stands at 9.90 percent.

According to the charts below, the pension has made six commitments to private equity funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $272 million.
