SERS Ohio approves $125m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North America-focused private equity funds.

School Employees’ Retirement System of Ohio has agreed to commit $75 million to LBC Credit Partners and $50 million to Kohlberg Investors IX, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $15.24 billion US public pension has a 10.0 percent target allocation to private equity which currently stands at 9.50 percent.

As illustrated below, the SERS Ohio has made seven commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $272 million.
