SFERS approves $161m in commitments

The US public pension has backed a North America focused fund and three Asia focused funds.

The San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System announced commitments of $25 million to Fifth Wall Ventures II, $100 million to CMC Capital Partners III, $27 million to Lightspeed China Partners IV and $9 million to Lightspeed China Partners Select I.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $24.8 billion US public pension has an 18 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 19.2 percent. SFERS has also made four commitments focused on private equity recently, which combined constitute $161 million.
