TCRS approves $100m commitment

The US public pension has backed a North America-focused venture capital vehicle.

Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System approved a $100 million commitment to Peak Rock Capital Fund III at its December 2020 investment committee meeting, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $53.56 billion US public pension has a 7 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 7.4 percent.

As illustrated below, the pension’s recent private equity commitments have been mainly to venture capital and buyout funds focused on investments in North America and Europe.
