Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana approves $75m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two North American buyout funds.

Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana has agreed to commit up to $50 million to Green Equity Investors VIII and up to $25 million to Jade Equity Investors, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The $20.89 billion US public pension has a 14.0 percent target allocation to private equity which currently stands at 16.0 percent.

As illustrated in the chart below, Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana has made eight commitments to private equity vehicles with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $575 million.
