TRS approves $313.3m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has agreed to commit $150 million to H&F Unite Partners, $150 million to TA XIII and $13.3 million to White Cypress Co-Investment Partners, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. The three funds are managed by Hellman & Friedman, TA Associates and Clearlake Capital Group respectively.

The $153.13 billion US public pension has a 13.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 13.90 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, TRS has made nine commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $1.3 billion.
