TRSL approves up to $200m in commitments

The US public pension fund has backed TMT and natural resources focused funds.

The board of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana announced four commitments of up to $200 million. Up to $50 million will be committed to Thoma Bravo Fund XIII which will focus on the North America TMT sector. Up to $50 million will also be committed to Lindsay Goldberg V which will focus on diversified sectors across Western Europe and North America. TRSL will commit up to $75 million to Lone Star Fund XI which will focus on diversified sectors. A commitment of up to $25 million to NGP Natural Resources XII focuses on natural resources in North America.

The 20.02 billion US public pension has a 35.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 31.0 percent.
