TRSL confirms $220m in commitments

The US public pension has backed four private equity funds in its latest round of commitments.

Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana approved $220 million-worth of commitments to private equity funds at its March 2021 meeting, a contact at the pension confirmed to Private Equity International.

The commitments comprised $50 million to Genstar Capital Partners X; $75 million each to Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners X and Castlelake Income Opportunities Fund II; and $20 million to Insight Venture Partners X Follow-On Fund.

The $23.48 billion US public pension has a 14 percent allocation that currently stands at 17 percent.
