Limited partners will have to “look carefully under the hood” of fund offerings bearing the impact label as more and more GPs pile into the sector, according to LeapFrog Investments founder and CEO Andy Kuper.
“It’s very easy to go out right now and raise capital with a sizzling prospect like impact,” Kuper said. “The question is who is going to implement it well.”
LeapFrog had an original target of $600 million for its third fund, but raised $700 million in total.
